After a bunch of updates and tweaks here is a new trailer for Console Saga. It’s all edited from in game footage (no CG here) and shows off the new UI and some never before seen stages and bosses.
I’m waiting on feedback from my dedicated team of play-testers but I hope to have the game submitted to PSM review before the week is out.

Here is the first trailer for my latest PSM game, Console Saga. It’s an action platform game for PlayStation Mobile starring a Little blue hand-held games console. Out soon!
Here is some work-in-progress footage of me playing a whole level from the latter half of Console Saga. Here we see a level with lots of verticality (ha!). Not all the levels in the game are so tall. Most are more horizontal to give better lateral flow with the grapple rope.
If this is your first introduction to Console Saga then let me explain the basics; Console Saga is a retro-inspired platform game for Playstation Mobile that is currently in development here at TACS Games. It features the journey of a living retro games console as she travels through a whole bunch of classic retro landscapes to clean up a mess of corruption. You can be sure it will be a hardcore romp with lots of jumping, shooting, swinging and glowing lasers.
There’s still a lot of work left to do on the game but I hope to submit for approval to Playstation Mobile in the next month or so. What do you think of the video?
In an attempt to jump on the bird-flapping bandwagon while remaining totally and hopelessly out of touch TACS Games has released it’s latest game: ‘FLAPPO BIRD’.
I spent some time today making a new and original game called Flappo Bird for the Atari 2600. You can download it right now from here and pay what you want.
I’ve wanted to make something for the 2600 for a while now and when I had this totally original idea yesterday I couldn’t wait to get into it. Even without ever working on a 2600 game before I was already very familiar with the hardware limitations of the device from a few books I’ve read on the topic. Going in with such a simple idea made building the game very easy. It only took a couple of hours to build once I’d got the tools set up.
I think I will return to the 2600 again one day as this was a fun project to work on, perhaps I can make a little library of weird games. Got any suggestions?
So check the game out and give it a play, it’s a real Atari 2600 4k ROM, so you’ll need an emulator to play it on but I’m sure you’re able to sort that out for yourself.

Yes it’s true the brain eating monster Gutsy is back again, now on OUYA. Avoid deadly traps, solve mind bending puzzles and eat hundred of brains! All three of the level packs are available for free in the OUYA version of the game and the ‘classic pack’ doesn’t even have any bees in it. (The ‘puzzle pack’ and ‘teleport pack’ may be full of bees.)
Take a look at that lovely new OUYA icon too, Gutsy sure looks happy to be on the OUYA.

My craft-em-up side-scrolling retro-shooter has been released on the Google Play store and the whole game is available now to play for free.
You can download it right now from here.
These early days are really important for a free-to-play game like Shuttle Quest so if you have an Android device I hope you’ll boot it up and download the game.

After all the hard work, the tiny pixel art tanks, the triumphant SNES style music and the endless games of poker – it’s finally available for you to buy on the PlayStation Store.
Boot up that Vita or Xperia device and load the PSN store. Under the PlayStation Mobile section you should find a brand new TACS Game creation waiting for you.
If you can’t see it right away check out the ‘Latest’ tab as some regions have not updated their stores yet.

I’m delighted to say that ‘Super Tank Poker’ has been approved for release on PSM. It may even be accessible from the PSM store as early as next Wednesday. So then, on this occasion, is the first trailer for the game.
